Martina's 2015 CLC Summer

Christian Life Community. A community that is definitely going to welcome you, regardless of ethnicity, religion or anything else. It is a community where I have found the best people anyone could ever ask for, as the variety of humans present makes me appreciate the beauty of life with all its different aspects. Our group is one big family, those of us who can cook, those of us who excel at cleaning, those of us who can sing or dance, those who can play an instrument. We even have a motivational speaker or two!

This summer has undoubtedly been the best so far in regards to excitement relating to CLC. Trying to forget the live-in happening next month (because it would take me more than the words I am duly allowed), I will be focusing on the events which happened both within our group and externally this season.

The meetings are held every Monday, which possibly omits any Monday blues, as during the meeting we discuss several topics and issues, and play teambuilding games. Everything is always prepared by Abigail Darmanin and Claire Cassar, both of whom have full time jobs but still find time to prepare and hold the meetings. Events which we experienced this summer included amongst others BBQs, voluntary work/live-in, beach meetings, preparing masses, being apostles on Maundy Thursday (that is one memory I shall cherish forever- even though it technically was not during the summer), day retreats; the list is never ending.

I would say joining my CLC group (which is yet nameless) has been one of the best decisions I have ever made, and the positivity which is currently overflowing in my life can be accounted to this group. They give each and every one of the members something to look forward to, a place where we can truly be ourselves and not be judged for it, a family with all its flaws and perfections which I would not give up for anything in the world.
